It's Spring!

On Friday we read a book about spring and talked about some signs of spring. Next week we plan to write about things we will see and do in spring. To celebrate the first day of spring we made "springy" headbands.

Myles' Lego Rockets Story

Myles chose to publish his journal entry about Lego Rockets.

Katy's Dr. Seuss Week Story

For writing at center time we are now editing some of our journal writing. When it is their turn to be at the writing center the boys and girls get to pick on of their favorite entries from their journal and edit it with Mrs. Corn. They then type it on an Alpha Smart, illustrate, and publish it. Katy chose to publish her entry about our Dr. Seuss week.

Green Eggs and Ham Day

Today was day three of our Seuss week celebration. The boys and girls began their day with green eggs and ham for breakfast. For our assembly in the gym Mrs. Gallion, Mrs. Hoalt, and Mr. Nolan read Horton Hatches an Egg. Then Mrs. Graham helped us sing a couple of songs. In our classroom we read and watched The Sneetches. Then the boys and girls each made their own Sneetch to add to the Seussville wall in our hall. Tomorrow will be Cat in the Hat Day so be sure to remember your hat!

Wacky Wednesday

Today was Wacky Wednesday at school. The boys and girls as well as the teachers looked pretty wacky today! We had lots of fun. During our assembly we got ready for green eggs and ham day tomorrow by hearing Mr. Stark and Mr. Quick read Green Eggs and Ham and cheering the teachers on in a relay race where they raced with a green egg on a spoon in their mouth. Don't forget to wear your green tomorrow!
