This week we have been studying some of our presidents and discussed what their job is. On Friday the boys and girls wrote about what they would do if they were the president. You might even notice that the presidents in the pictures look remarkably like some first graders we know. Take a look at their ideas of what they would do if they were the president.

100 Animals at the Zoo
On the 100th day of school we read a poem about 100 animals at the zoo. Then we worked in committees with our high school friends to make a poster to represent one of the animals in the poem. When we were finished each group recorded their portion of the poem and now we hope you enjoy our whole poem. Thanks to Katy's mom for recording our work for us.

100th Day with Our Friends from RHS
On Friday morning Mrs. Oxford's senior English class helped us work on a project for our 100th day. We illustrated a poem about 100 animals. The students worked on committees with their high school friends to decide what they needed to put on the poster to illustrate their section of the poem. Then they worked together to finish their page. Unfortunately we didn't get quite finished so we will post again when the class finishes the project but thanks to our RHS friends we got a great start.

The 100th Day of School
On Friday we celebrated our 100th Day of School. We made headbands with 100 dots, necklaces with 100 fruit loops, decorated fish with 100 scales, and read some books about the 100th day of school.

Two Digit Addition
We have been practicing counting money using dimes and pennies. Today we began practicing two digit addition using dimes and pennies. We had a store on our SMART Board today. We picked two things to buy and counted the dimes and pennies needed to buy each thing. We then added the two together to see how much it would cost to buy both items. Practice some two digit addition at home. The boys and girls are really good at it already!
Brayden's Dirt Bike Race
