After reading books about food and shoes around the world, my skills group students asked to find out about other countries. Each first grade student read a book about a chosen country, took notes, and wrote a report on their country. Then we went to the computer lab to type their reports into power point presentations and add their choice of illustrations. They enjoyed presenting them to the rest of the group on Thursday morning.
